SwanTek® 'Novus' Arduous Duty greases meet the needs of most aggressive working conditions including temperature extremes, high loading, shock loading, vibration, high speed, wet and saturated conditions, corrosive conditions, chemical or/and dust and dirty environments
'Novus' specialist lubricants are designed for extreme operating environments where more conventional types of lubricants are limited in their ability to withstand extreme conditions and breakdown prematurely, resulting in frequent re-lubrication intervals, and on many occasions frequent component replacement.
INTRODUCTION
SwanTek® Novus Pin & Bush Lubricant is a tenacious grease designed for heavy duty applications where adhesion, shock loading and good corrosion protection is needed. It has been proven ideal for use on bucket pins on heavy earth moving equipment, fifth wheels, crane slews, and also as an assembly and running in compound.
SwanTek® Pin & Bush Lubricant Features
1. A high level of lubricating solids keeps working surfaces apart and substantially extends component life.
2. Being fully resistant to the wet extends the life of the lubricant and protects components from corrosion.
3. Tackiness additives provide increased lasting protection.

Appearance - Grey/black, smooth, stringy grease
NLGI classification -2/3
Thickener - Lithium soap
Base oil - Mineral oil
Solid lubricants - Molybdenum disulphide and graphite
Solid lubricants content - 16%
Dropping point (ASTM D2265) - 175oC min.
Dynamic corrosion resistance (EMCOR) (IP 220) -0:0
Salt water (DIN 51802) - 0:0
Copper corrosion (IP 112) - Negative
Oil separation (IP 121 - 1%

METHOD OF APPLICATION
SwanTek® Pin & Bush Lubricant can be applied by hand, or by using a standard grease gun . (Due to the high lubricating solids content, SwanTek® Pin & Bush Lubricant is not recommended for use on anti-friction bearings).
