PFS1 is a highly specialised solvent and diluent for PFPE fluids and greases. It can be used as a replacement for CFC-113 and other ozone depleting solvents being restricted by current legislation. PFS1 is safe, inert, non-toxic, colourless and odourless.

Free from CFCs, chlorine or bromine, PFS1 requires few safeguard precations or use restrictions and is completely compatible with all metals, rubbers and commercially available elastomers and plastics. It has zero ozone depletion potential and is not classified as a VOC.

PFS1 is non-flammable and well suited for cleaning operations where solvents are applied to hot components, heated prior to application, pressure sprayed onto components, used in forced air stream cleaning, and where extended immersion baths are required.

Typical applications include the removal of PFPE greases and fluids and in semiconductor manufacturing and chip etching processes where product integrity depends upon maintaining ultra-clean environments. PFS1 has proved to be highly efficient in the elimination of contaminant build ups and organic cleaner residues. PFS1 is also used in vacuum pump and compressor components cleaning during flushing and rebuilding operations.
