Nickel anti-seize assembly compound: -55°C to 1400°C

DescriptionInstructionsSizes, Prices & OffersSafety Data Sheet

Nickeleez is a premium performance anti-seize and assembly compound for applications subject to extreme temperatures and the most chemically aggressive environments. Highly recommended for use with stainless steel or nickel alloy components and fasteners.

Applications

• Anti-seize lubrication for bolts, studs, screws, pins, hinges, flanges, exhaust manifolds, valves, pipe fittings, slip fits, pump mountings, gaskets, packing glands, boilers and steam generators subject to high temperatures or chemical attack.
• Ideal for use in nuclear plants, chemical plants, pharmaceutical plants, paper mills, power plants, steel mills and other applications, particularly where stainless steel fasteners are used.
• Ideal for use in sensitive chemical and process plant production areas.
• Provides enhanced protection for dissimilar metal interfaces such as brass/steel.
• Designed for use in applications where chemical inertness is required or where copper based compounds are prohibited.

Special benefits

• Fully effective from -55°C to 1400°C.
• Coefficient of friction: 0.10 to 0.12
• Resists chemical attack from strongly acidic and caustic solutions.
• Ideal for use where safety in contact with ammonia, acetylene and vinyl monomers is required.
• Recommended for use with stainless steel, nickel or nimonic alloys and silver coated components.
• Suitable for applications requiring low sulphur, chlorine, and fluorine levels.
• Lead free.

Instructions for Use
Apply by brush to the threaded components prior to assembly. To ensure the best performance, ensure that one of the threaded surfaces is completely coated with Nickeleez.

Notes on application of Assembly Compounds
Anti-seize lubrication on assembly of plant components is a very much overlooked part of the plant maintenance programme. Anti-seize lubrication is not just a dab of grease on the end of a stud! Seeing the damage caused by the lack of correct lubrication at the assembly stage demonstrates the huge cost of repair and replacement. Much damage is caused to studs by either no assembly compound being used, or by applying just a dab to the end of the stud and relying on the action of the nut to carry the assembly compound along the threads.

Assembly compounds should be applied over the whole distance of travel of the nut. The assembly compound should be applied right down to the base of the threads and also to the inside of the nut. Contact faces of nuts should be coated with assembly compound, as should both faces of any washers that are used. Excess assembly compound does no harm. On the contrary, it improves sealing and thereby protection against corrosion
